Mimmo's is more than just a restaurant - it's a family affair. Founded by Domenico and staffed initially by his brother Simone and his wife Kathy as unpaid employees, Mimmo's has been bringing the authentic flavors and traditions of Southern Italy to Vermont since 1995.

When we first started, it was just the three of us doing everything - cooking, serving, cleaning - but we were passionate about sharing our love of Italian cuisine with the community. As we grew, we began hiring employees and training them to adhere to our processes and recipes, ensuring that every dish was made with the same care and attention to detail that we put into everything we did.

In 2003, we opened our second location in Essex, VT, which has since become an integral part of the community. Earlier this year, Simone bought Domenico's half of the Essex Mimmo's location and it is now an independent venture, but both locations share the same commitment to exceptional food and Southern Italian hospitality.

At Mimmo's, we believe that food is not just fuel for the body, but a nourishment for the soul. Every dish, every pizza, every dessert, and every cocktail is made with our own secret recipes and crafted with love and passion by our team of expert chefs. We want to transport you to Italy, to make you feel like you're sitting in a cozy trattoria in the heart of Naples or Rome.

For over 25 years, Mimmo's has been a labor of love and a dream come true. We are proud to have been a part of so many family traditions and cherished memories, and we look forward to continuing to share our passion for Italian cuisine with you for many more years to come.
